Please describe the issue:

These 2 days, every build I tried failed. Different build, different build error.

Yup. I just go the same error and the output goes on and on and on and on and on…

It built fine yesterday so the change is on the VB end.

A new version of cordova-ios was released and it appears to have some issues. Please try pinning your engine in your config.xml like so:

So I moved the engine tag outside of the ```<platform>``` to just below the widget definition and that worked. So either you fixed it or the engine tag needs to be before the platform tags.

Engine definitions must be at the top level - they can’t be embedded in platform.

After thinking about it, I suspected that to be the case which is why I moved it and posted about it… so now others following this topic will know how to address this until the problem is solved.

It looks like this plugin (cordova-plugin-firebasex) is not ready to be used with the latest cordova-ios engine. I would stick with 7.1.1 for now.

I’m not using cordova-plugin-firebasex

The only plugin I use that touches firebase is cordova-plugin-push and commenting that out doesn’t change nor fix the problem.

Having removed ALL plugins I got a build… countless (and I mean I literally lost count) builds later I can confirm that the following plugin is causing the latest platform to barf.

I still have many plugins commented out, I’ll add them all back in tomorrow sans the file-transfer plugin.

In the mean time, what engine did you just install? 8.0.0?

@artlogic I tagged you on Slack. They are able to duplicate this. Other plugins may be causing the same issue.

For anyone else following this, I opened a bug report on the file-transfer plugin’s git repository and they’re able to duplicate the bug and there’s a pull request with fixes already posted.
