I am using VoltBuilder to generate splash screens on my app.
Atached splashTemplate.png is 2732x2732px.

Are you using a resources.json? If so, could you post it here? If not, it may help with this: Generating Icons and Splash Screens | VoltBuilder
I am not using a resources.json.
We suggest using the resources.json to help with image resizing.
