SOLVED: Android says "Sorry, no application available"

When trying to install an updated Voltbuilder build (debug or release) on a device, without using the Play Store, you receive the message “Sorry, no application available”. Previous installs went well, but suddenly you cannot install anything.

Check whether the device has applied a security update overnight. If it has, you may find that the ability to install apps from unknown sources has been removed. When you permit installation from unknown sources again, you’ll once more be able to apply updated apks.

Thanks for posting this! It’s not at all obvious what the problem is in this case - you’re going to help a lot of people.

Another thing to look out for is a different version of the app (with a different keystore) already installed. In that case, you’ll have to delete the old one before the new one will install.
